Mom Asks Toddler What He’s Thankful For—What He Says Will Warm Your Heart

Every so often, a moment so pure and heartfelt comes along that it restores your faith in the simple joys of life. This was certainly the case when 3-year-old Luca Pulcini captured hearts everywhere with his adorable Thanksgiving prayer, blending gratitude, love, and pumpkin pie into a scene that’s both uplifting and endearing.

Luca’s mom, Jasmine Pulcini, a hairstylist from Colleyville, Texas, couldn’t resist sharing the moment. The Pulcini family had just finished their Thanksgiving feast when Jasmine turned to Luca and asked, “Do you want to share what you’re thankful for?” What came next was equal parts touching and hilarious.

With sauce still glistening on his face, Luca clasped his tiny hands together and closed his eyes. In the sweetest little voice, he began to pray:
"Thank you, God. I’m, I’m thankful for my mommy and my family. I’m thankful for my Nonna, um, and my Nunu and my daddy. And I’m thankful for the pumpkin pie, that I don’t have much room ‘cause I ate too much cranberries. And I love that, cranberries. Amen."

The sincerity and humor in his words had everyone laughing and tearing up at the same time. Reflecting on the moment, Jasmine shared, “After finishing our Thanksgiving meal, I asked Luca if he wanted to share what he was thankful for. I wasn’t prepared for what happened next! With a heart so pure and genuine, he immediately began to pray. My mommy heart could hardly contain itself—so full of joy and gratitude. Just listen to all the sweet things he’s thankful for!”

Luca’s pure and honest words struck a chord, not just with his family but with everyone who saw the video. Mary Mitchell Nelson, a viewer, perfectly summed up the magic of the moment: “I love the prayers of children. They’re so honest and heartfelt.”

Luca’s grandmother, Ellie, also shared how much joy her grandson brings to the family. “Luca is so much fun for us! He is the best medicine we could ask for because he makes us laugh all the time,” she said.

The family plans to cherish this video as a yearly reminder of what Thanksgiving is truly about—love, gratitude, and a little bit of humor. Family friend Donna Piergallini said it best: “This is so adorable and one to show yearly.”

Luca’s genuine prayer has inspired viewers to reflect on their own blessings and brought a smile to countless faces. Sometimes, the simplest moments, like a toddler giving thanks for his family and pumpkin pie, are the ones that stay with us forever.
